Movie Poster Concept
Story
For this project we were to create a movie poster based off of a story/theme and film genre that was given to us at random–Hans Christian Anderson’s short story “The Ugly Duckling” as a Thriller/Drama.
Concept
For the design I was inspired by the aesthetics of the movie poster for Ex Machina and it’s simple composition. I wanted the feeling of elegance and simplicity all while being dramatic and thrilling using simple colours and background. I wanted to instead of a direct correlation with a duck or swan personify the story. The meaning behind “Blueblood” is that the duck was a swan (royal birds) and blueblood meaning royal blood.
